#when a Hollywood Ending happens and characters get together in the VERY LAST effing frame of the film #generally speaking you get people telling each other stories about what happened next #sadly the actual movies about what happened next seem to assume people want to see conflict as an expected next step #some nice juicy conflict to ‘resolve’ or whatever #but meanwhile we’re all out here writing 800 ways they can just be happy?? for five gd minutes?? #i will pay my genuinely hard-earned money to see my faves make out a little bit #that’s ..literally how you get me #some makeouts and when there’s challenges it’s as a team and there you go #i’m good i’m easy it’s not rocket science #AND VOILA THIS FILM PROVIDES
how am i, as a millennial who grew up with the first two mummy movies, supposed to take the mummy (2017) seriously?
