Thank you for your nice message, anon! ❤ Well, since the long answer I
wrote you last night didn’t magically reappear (still salty about it) I’m going
to do it again.

Okay so, to be honest I have been in this fandom for less than a week and
I’ve already 1) read more than 50 fanfics, 2) watched the same episodes a
couple times already and 3) seen and reblogged tons of awesome fanarts so I’m
basically on a high at this moment – it’s been a roller coaster of feelings –
and probably I’m not thinking straight, lol. BUT! I actually think I would love
for our babies to keep their identities hidden for a little while longer;
mostly, I want to see what Plagg and Tikki are going to do about it, if they’re
going to do anything at all (they’re the only ones to know that their Chosen
Ones are painfully and obliviously crushing on each others, as seen in the Dark
Owl episode). I hate the love square as much as the other person but I also
love some drama, because?? The angst?? The struggle?? Seeing these two dorks
stuttering and sassying and loving from afar?? It’s basically the main reason
why I jumped on this ship, lmao. Plus I love #marichat so much to just
give up about them this soon (like, after the last episode I WANT them to be
somewhat closer, I need more scenes of Chat Noir and Marinette, uggghhh I’m
trash, and a reveal at this point would deprive me of that, lol).

I’m definitely too old for this but I regret nothing.

Don’t worry anon, I’m sure we’ll have our happy ending! But for now, I’m
afraid our plate is full for us to have the great reveal scene we deserve and
want – with Alya getting her own Miraculous in the next episode, and HawkMoth,
and all of this new backstory that’s been piling up since the beginning of
season 2, maybe this is not the right time to add Ladybug and Chat Noir finding
out the truth about their secret identities. Who knows, maybe this will be the
cliffhanger of the season? Them (or one of them) finding out who the other is?

In the meantime we’ll just have to quench our thirst with the fanworks,
thankfully this fandom has great artists and writers and we have thousands of
fanfics we can read until canon catches up with us. *___* Aaaaaahhh I’m so
excited for what’s to come! Be positive dear anon, I’m sure it will happen
eventually, we just have to be patient about it and enjoy the ride! 😀
