Australia is like that weird quirky relative that keeps getting invited to family events but no one actually knows why (they don’t even go there #quote), and yet everyone is too polite to just stop inviting them
“I’m over being a pop star. I don’t wanna be a hot girl. I wanna be iconic. And I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot. I feel like I’m highly respected, which is more important than any award or any amount of records. And I feel like there comes a point when being a pop star is not enough.”
“I know you are scared but… My heart tells me that you will find a strength to be happy.”
This film is a hair-raising collection of dark fairy tales intended for an adult audience. Each tale has its own plot, characters, and conflicts, though all of them are interconnected in subtle ways. Let me just reiterate, these are NOT stories for children. There’s gore, nudity, and a distinct shock factor involved. I must admit, Tale of Tales left a bigger impact than I’d expected… It was on my mind for days after I first watched it. It’s bizarre, baroque, and undeniably beautiful.
